core.media is repository of your media files. Whether you are uploading video or audio files, core.media makes it easy to manage uploaded file by placing it to a category, by defining the author, title or description — you name it…

When uploaded, each file is automagically scanned by core.media X-ray system and all of the file data is stored in the database with the common set of properties:

• Length
• Video codec
• Video format
• Video dimensions
• Video FPS
• Audio codec
• Audio sample rate
• Audio channels
• Audio bitrate

The admin area has a built-in media player so you can preview your content exactly as it will behave when published.

Just like with the image and document repository, core.media lets you connect a single uploaded file with an unlimited number of articles.
