Dec 03 2007. we relaunched Podravka’s corporate website. This was a huge deal both for us and for Podravka. We’ve been working on the project entire October and November, and in the end we’re extremely pleased with the accomplishments.

The big idea behind the redesign was for the site to assist every curious visitor in search of information, be it a journalist, an investor, a financial analyst, a business partner, an employee or a consumer… and here’s how:

  • information packages and content consolidation – all the info on a certain subject is gathered at one place. For example, after the launch, Podravka published a rich article “Podravka objavila nove korporativne web stranice” (sorry, the english site was not a priority at the launch so there’s only a version in croatian). The article contains the news piece, photos in standard and high resolutions, a video, a PR release, links to related content and social media websites that have additional info, and the letters and digits for contact people at Podravka. The concept makes sure no visitor has to waste time browsing around for the pieces of the puzzle, and can get to what he wanted in no time. As a bonus, this also eases the company’s corporate communications.
  • integration with the leading social media websites – aside from it’s own website, Podravka publishes photos on Flickr and video reports on YouTube. Now it can easily link to them and re-use them anywhere on the site, and visitors don’t have to hunt for them on their own.
  • integration with Podravka’s other websites – the new site can talk to Podravka’s culinary portal / social networking site Coolinarika.com and retrieve various information over an API. In fact, almost every product and brand page on Podravka.hr has links to Coolinarika’s recommended recipes that use them as ingredients. Neat, huh?
